Cris Arbo besides illustrating picture books has worked as a background artist on animated feature films, cartoons and TV commercials in New York and London, and as an Art Director for The Dance Centre, Covent Garden. She also performed as vocalist with the London Philharmonic and the London Symphony.

Ginjer L. Clarke writes fun, fact-filled nonfiction beginning readers about weird, wonderful animals. She is an experienced and lively school and library presenter, who can provide tailored talks to grades K through 5. Her programs include engaging book readings, discussion of how she got started writing and got published, the process of how a picture book gets made, and concrete writing tips and exercises for older grades (and teachers too!).

Mike’s presentations include personally-experienced, gripping tales about scorpion encounters, flash floods, dinosaur digs, wolf sightings, bears encounters, cave rescues and explorations, thunderstorms and lightning strikes, tornado chasing, national parks adventures, rock-climbing and many other subjects. He also presents information on weather, the writing process, and how to create great stories.

Jerrie Preston Oughton author of picture books and young adult novels, covers the publishing and writing process in her presentations. She recently moved to North Carolina.

Vivian Owens is an Educator-Author who enjoys sharing her books with children. Owens books flirt with mystery and suspense or they court historical backgrounds, while always delivering full quality literature value.Writing African American Youth Literature and educational books, she will publish her 9th  book in the spring of 2003.

Readers and non-readers alike enjoy the excitement and inspiration that Max  Sanders brings to his presentation. He uses his books and hand puppets to bring his message home. The focus is on stimulating one's imagination, always dreaming all you can be, believing in yourself and never giving up... no matter what the challenge. Max says, "There seems to be so many children today with self-esteem issues which make it difficult for them focus on their real potential - If we can just give them the inspiration to reach out and know they all have special talents they can explore and develop, this would surely be a better world for everyone."

Kathryn Starke is an elementary school reading specialist in Richmond, Virginia. she started Creative Minds Publications to promote educational material that motivates children to read, think, and learn. She participates in children's book nights, book fairs, and school international nights, She presents a variety of literacy workshops for elementary school educators
