Joan Buzick is the author and composer of What Went Right Today? the multiple award winning children’s audio-picture book.  Joan has enjoyed a career as a music teacher and school administrator.  With the success of What Went Right Today? she is engaging pre-K and elementary school audiences, parents and teachers in thought provoking discussion, motivating music, and many laughs in programs emphasizing positive attitudes, respect, character and communication.

Joan Buzick will keep students thinking, writing, singing and talking about what went right today? for a long time.  Students will enjoy the PowerPoint presentation, singing along, learning American Sign Language and sharing their stories.  Older students may discover how the What Went Right Today? attitude helped the author survive many adventures including a life threatening backpacking trip into the jungle of Panama.

Driven by the desire to understand behavior, human development, and educational practices, Joan earned Master’s Degrees in the subject areas of Applied Psychology from New York University and Educational Administration from Rider University.  She is a member of the Toastmasters Hall of Fame and was awarded the Toastmaster of the Year Award in 2003 for the New York / New Jersey Metropolitan region.  Joan loves to learn about different cultures and has visited many countries including several trips to India and Indonesia.

Your "What Went Right Today" presentation was a wonderful way to encourage children and adults to reflect on the positive aspects of their lives.  Utilizing teachers as role models was extremely effective. Students and staff members alike agreed that your presentation was a great way to build self-esteem through something as simple as recognition of the good experiences we all share!  Geri Rinaldo, Principal, Mawbey Street School, Woodbridge, NJ

(April 2007) THANK YOU so much for visiting last Thursday.  The children are still talking about you and singing WWRT (What Went Right Today) throughout the day.  Julie Thorner, President, Mini University Child Development Centers, Ohio

(June 2007) You would have been so proud – WSU (Wright State University) Kindergarten lead the family end of the year program with WWRT...it was wonderful! (Wright State University Child Development Center is owned by Mini University, Inc.)

Our students and parents enjoyed the WWRT (What Went Right Today) presentation.  All of us need to slow down and celebrate life's good moments and gifts.  WWRT gives parents and children a vehicle for sharing. Dr. Susan Mansfield, Principal, Kennedy Park School, Iselin, NJ

Thank you for a wonderful presentation.  "What went right today" is what we want all our students to discover.  You have put the thought together in a wonderful book, song and presentation.  Mary Jane Small, Principal, Woodbine Avenue School, Avenel, NJ

The teachers’ feedback from your presentation was very positive. They liked the way you presented the book and song and also the way you included them as role models in the program. Keep up the good work! Debra Brady, Principal, Ronald Regan Elementary School, Elizabeth, NJ
